I’m BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
Greetings one and all. Hope you all enjoyed March? Apologies for me lengthy absence, I have been very busy with my dissertation: Which is now finished by the way! So I am back for regular updates, and to get this weight loss back on track. I have to say I am very surprised that I have lost anything at all. I have been eating a lot of crap to get me through these 10000 words of hell, coupled with not getting to the gym on a regular basis (ok, ok. I mean at all!), I assumed I would have piled some back on. However I have been ill these last few days so maybe that could have resulted in a loss? Whatever the reasons behind it, my research is finished, Easter and its temptations are gone and there is no excuse to not kick on and get to that 2 stone lost mark by end of April!

April 27th will see me take part in a charity football match, playing alongside the Barrow AFC FA Trophy winning team of 1990 as they take on the Barrow Celtic U12/14 team of 1990. It’s all to raise money for a local family who have been devastated with terrible news this last year. It promised to be a great day and should raise an awful lot of money. The Trophy winning team are legends in this town and to be able to play alongside them will be a huge honour. Only problem is: because they’re such legends, there could be up to 1500 people watching. Now that’s a lot of eyes to be watching me blow out my a*** for 45 minutes! So if ever there was an incentive to get fit, this is it! I’d better get the old Puma Kings out of storage and polished off.

I’m also chipping away at my wrestling career (@steele_gabriel). I have been earmarked for my first match in June/July time so stay tuned for that. Wrestling may be seen as a bit of a joke with the whole “It’s not real you know?” mind-set but the cardio fitness needed to put on a match, even a short match is unbelievable. And as much as it is all rehearsed, it can still bloody hurt so to call it fake is a bit of insult. I’d like to see most people get in there and do what they do, then tell people it’s not real…(that wasn’t meant to turn into a rant sorry).
Anyway, I shall post another wee blog on Monday before I venture off to London for the week so til Monday
