I decided to hit the gym this evening – My first ever Saturday evening spent in the gym. If I’m being honest, I really enjoyed the fact it wasn’t too busy, there was plenty of choice of machines to use and there wasn’t a load of angry looking blokes in small tight vests knocking about. Over the past few days I’ve been using my Apple watch to track calories and things for my cardio and I’m thoroughly enjoying seeing numbers increase with each and every workout. I know that the little ‘rewards’ you get on there (a spinning medal) aren’t great but I’m really enjoying seeing which ones I can tick off the list as I progress.
I read an interesting post on instagram the other day that said,
“It takes 4 weeks for you to see your body changing. It takes 8 weeks for your friends and family. It takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world”
Well I am currently 3 weeks into my adventure and I’m really enjoying it. I can feel things starting to improve: I’m walking/ cycling further, I’m lifting more but I can’t wait for the next stage of the journey. I hope that at the end of next week I can see some changes, no matter how small! I’ve deliberately stayed away from the scales again and I intend to do this throughout my adventure.
