I haven’t updated this for a few days now. If I’m being completely honest, it wasn’t the best weekend I’ve ever had and the gym took a backseat. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to my cat of 18/19 years, Lucy. Having had her since she was a kitten, we had quite a bond and over the past few weeks she’s been rather unwell. I was so lucky she survived over Christmas but things just became too much for her and she went to sleep on January 12th. I spent the whole day sat with her on the sofa and it was lovely to get to spend that time with her before the big goodbye. Saturday was a write off because I was absolutely gutted about losing my princess so I decided to swerve the gym until I was in a better frame of mind. Saturday rolled into Sunday and then that turned into Monday and before I knew it, I hadn’t been to the gym for a few days. I made sure I got up early today (Tuesday) and went to the gym for a good solid hour – it was good to go and clear my head a bit and do some working out. I’ve got another therapy session this afternoon so that’ll be interesting to go and have a chat with my therapist. Fitness and mobility wise, I’m feeling fitter than I have done and I really don’t think I look as fat/bloated as I did a fortnight ago.
