Having been back to the gym three times this week, I expected instant 3 stone weight loss and cover model ready features. Sadly, the reality is, this hasn’t happened. (I knew it wouldn’t really). If you want results, the key is consistency – something I have struggled with over the years. I either obsessively avoid foods that are bad for me and go to the gym every day or eat far too many of the bad things and avoid the gym at all costs.
Being back at the gym this week has been good. I’ve enjoyed having something to take my mind off ‘real life’ and it’s been good starting to follow the LDNM Cutting Guide again (it worked last time). I’m going to try and avoid takeaways for a while and just make sensible choices – The exercise bit I don’t mind, it’s the diet bit I find the most challenging. Might have to arrange a trip out to the butchers to get some good quality meats to eat, might actually need to learn to cook so that I can eat properly (The colonel and Ronald McDonald can’t make my tea forever) and I might actually have to develop some sort of consistent approach to looking after myself.
Onwards and upwards!
