Bugger! Blast! Balls! Bastard! I was only in London for five days and managed to put on 5lbs! I blame my wife’s family. We were staying with her aunt & uncle and every evening meal was a London Marathon of food.  Yes, of course, there is always the option of saying no but it seemed rude given they had gone to so much trouble to keep us for a week.  Not only did Auntie Barb feed us full in the evenings, she also lavished us with a very generous pack lunch every day for our sight-seeing trips round London. I had a great time, but man-O-man was it calorific!

So now I’m back in Barrow and I need to get my arse into gear for this charity football match and the 42 mile charity trek that is the Keswick to Barrow (26 days away!!!!!!!) I had planned on being 2 stone down by the football match and that seemed likely before I went away: Now I have 10lbs to lose in 2 weeks in order for that to be achieved. It will be a tough old slog but it is still my aim so fingers crossed.

This evening will see the mighty Fred West Ham in action so I can start by running myself into the ground for the collective Orange cause!
