Starting Weight: 17st 3lbs
This week’s weight: 16st 13lbs
Weight loss/gain: -4lbs
Target: 14st (ish)
With the news of Jock’s cracking first week success ringing in my ears I felt a great sense of pride. Working together through this weight loss is proving a great tool, plenty of late night texts, emails and tweets make sure we’re keeping in constant check with what each other is doing.
I’ve said it to myself many times before, stood in-front of the mirror, eye balling myself, “Now’s the time, time to shift the fat” and, as tends to be the way, it never happens. So to hear that my partner in crime had seen an early success was great. I decided that weighing myself was the next step, I had to know. I got on my scales, actually covered my eyes at one point, then saw the screen stay in the 16st bracket (just)….where it happily settled. It’s a loss of 4lbs but that’s the first 4lbs of many more!
I’ve gone back to work this week after our Christmas holidays so I’m really looking forward to being able to maintain a routine. I have been eating a lot more healthily than I usually do. My McDonalds visits have stopped, takeaways and other easy foods aren’t appearing in my diet at all and are being replaced with Weight Watchers meals, soups, fruit and veg and plenty of water. I do still have a gym membership, however I took the big step of investing in an exercise bike. This has allowed me to insert regular cardio work into my routine and has stopped me making excuses as to why I can’t get to the gym.
I’d like to echo Jock’s thanks to @DanielPinkey who’s incredible weight loss story
(detailed at danielpinkney.wordpress.com) has been massively inspiring to both of us and also his communication on Twitter is very much appreciated.
We’re really pleased that people are joining us on our journey online.
